Zombie Assault: Resurgence Heavy Best Perks

The safest Heavy build expands Hold the Line, adds one emergency survival layer, and chooses an Orbital Strike enhancement that matches the mission.

Recommended Heavy perk path

For a first all-purpose Heavy, make the space-control skill easier to use, protect one run from a catastrophic mistake, then specialize the large damage cooldown. A practical order is None Shall Pass, Last Stand, and one Orbital Strike enhancement chosen for the mission.

Hold the Line choices

None Shall Pass increases the radius by 50%, which makes positioning more forgiving. Moly Coated Bullets adds 10% knockback. Radius is the safer general pick because it affects how many teammates and enemies interact with the zone; knockback is attractive when displacement prevents contact.

One for All shares 50% of the buffs with the team, so its value grows with party size. The Line Is Drawn Here adds 25% damage and pierce while slowing the Heavy by 50%, a deliberate trade of mobility for output. Blitzkrieg and I Can Do This All Day are tied to specialty paths.

Die Another Day as emergency insurance

Unstoppable and No Time To Die are the two upgrades described by Ninja Kiwi. For enhancements, Last Stand automatically activates the ability once per game when the Heavy reaches zero health. That makes it easy to recommend to new players because it can rescue a missed input.

Forced Reversal, Thunderdome and Unbreakable can outperform a one-time safety net in the right build, but they demand more deliberate use or specialty commitment. If you rarely reach zero health, trade the insurance for a repeatable benefit.

Choose Orbital Strike for the objective

Carpet Bombing sets a six-meter area, while Stacked Bombardment adds four missiles. The listed enhancements—Ray of Doom, Napalm Strike, Lightning Storm and Resupply—change what the ability contributes.

Use a persistent area option for predictable lanes, burst for priority targets, and Resupply when the team’s resource economy matters more than another damage effect. The official diary names these variants but does not provide enough launch numbers for an honest universal tier list.

Heavy priorities in solo and co-op

Solo Heavy needs enough personal damage to prevent long fights from exhausting defensive tools. In co-op, radius, shared buffs and reliable emergency control gain value because the Heavy can stabilize several players at once.

Do not stand still merely because the class is durable. Hold the Line is a positioning decision, Die Another Day is a recovery window, and Orbital Strike should solve a wave or objective problem rather than decorate an already-won fight.

Verify launch tooltips

These recommendations use an official pre-launch diary and the launch-week Heavy spotlight. Ninja Kiwi later documented core-skill changes, so compare every number with the current in-game tooltip. The ability identity is evidence-backed; the ordering is analysis that may move after patches.

Quick answers

What are the best Heavy perks?+

A safe team build starts with wider Hold the Line coverage, then adds Last Stand insurance and an Orbital Strike variant suited to the mission.

Should I choose Last Stand?+

It is strong insurance because the official description triggers it automatically once per game at zero health, but a disciplined team may prefer a repeatable enhancement.

Is Ray of Doom always the best Orbital Strike?+

No. Napalm, Lightning Storm and Resupply serve different damage or utility plans.

Evidence note
