Zombie Assault: Resurgence Medic Best Perks

A launch-ready Medic build should first make healing dependable, then add mobile Haven coverage and Biocleanse utility. The ranking below is editorial, based on Ninja Kiwi’s official ability descriptions.

Recommended Medic perk path

For an unknown mission or public co-op group, build around consistent recovery rather than a perfect damage setup. Start with Advanced Therapies for stronger Medkit output, use Protective Aura when your team moves between objectives, and add Elemental Manipulation when elemental resistance matters. These choices keep the Medic useful even when teammates do not coordinate.

1Medkit reliabilityReinvented Medicine → Advanced Therapies
2Mobile protectionHAVEN 2.0 → Protective Aura
3Team utilityViral Cure → Elemental Manipulation

This is not the only viable path. Dev Diary #14 presents upgrades and enhancements, while specialties can unlock different options such as Fresh Start, Anti-Zombie Kits, Energised Defences and Anaesthesia.

Best Medkit choices

Reinvented Medicine adds 10% to Medkit’s healing and is the straightforward early upgrade. Magnetic Restoration changes collection behavior, which can help when allies cannot stand directly on the kit. For a general build, raw healing is easier to value across every map.

Among enhancements, Advanced Therapies adds 20% healing and is the safest general recommendation. Medkit Prep can be better when cooldown cadence determines survival. Fresh Start and Anti-Zombie Kits are specialty-linked choices; take them only when your chosen specialty and mission plan benefit.

Build Haven around mission movement

HAVEN 2.0 expands the official Haven radius to 7.5 meters, making the protective zone easier to use. Static Shock adds offensive control. The best enhancement depends on whether the objective moves.

Protective Aura makes Haven follow the Medic at 75% movement speed, a strong quality-of-life option for advancing teams. Static Barricade is more attractive for a fixed defense point. The mobile choice is not automatically superior when the squad is holding one doorway.

Use Biocleanse Bomb for more than damage

Curative Vaccine adds a minor heal over time, while Viral Cure makes affected enemies take 5% more damage during the damage-over-time effect. In coordinated groups, that team amplification can be more valuable than the personal number suggests.

Elemental Manipulation reduces enemy elemental resistance by 25% and raises team elemental resistance by 25% according to the diary. Chemical Warfare instantly kills non-boss enemies below 25% health, making it a cleanup option rather than a boss solution. Contagion and Preventive Remedy deserve mission-specific testing.

Solo versus co-op priorities

In solo play, recovery must share the build with weapon damage and control; a purely supportive Medic can take too long to remove threats. In four-player co-op, stronger healing, mobile Haven coverage and debuff uptime scale because several players can benefit at once.

If teammates repeatedly leave Haven, use mobile coverage or invest less heavily in static-zone value. If a mission locks the squad to an objective, reverse that decision. A best-perk list should react to the mission, not ignore it.

Launch-day balance caveat

Dev Diary #14 predates launch and documents the intended upgrade/enhancement system. Dev Diary #19 later reworked core skills, showing that balance evolved. This guide uses official ability descriptions but does not claim every launch tooltip is numerically unchanged. Check the in-game text before spending a scarce point.

Quick answers

What are the best Medic perks?+

For a safe co-op launch build, prioritize Medkit reliability, mobile Haven support, and Biocleanse utility before chasing narrow damage bonuses.

Is Protective Aura always best?+

No. It is a strong general co-op choice because Haven follows the Medic at reduced speed, but static defense can be better when an objective does not move.

Are these official rankings?+

No. Ability behavior comes from Ninja Kiwi; the recommended order is editorial analysis and may change with balance patches.

Evidence note

Ability names and effects come from Ninja Kiwi’s official Dev Diary #14. The official Medic spotlight was published on YouTube on 25 October 2026. “Best” rankings are this wiki’s launch-day inference, not developer tier placements.
